Overview

The Malcam Charitable Trust was founded in 1988 by Malcolm Cameron on the premise that young people can and do make a difference.

We are in the business of learning.  The Trust facilitates quality experiences that enable young people to make successful transitions.

Our combination of education, personal development, up-skilling, positive role-modeling, work experience, community volunteer work and outdoor sport and adventure activities sees 80% of the young people we work with go back to school, go on to employment or enroll in further training or education. We are also active in the wider community sector, with a proud history of collaboration and mentoring other charitable enterprises.

We currently work with Dunedin and Clutha area schools, training providers, tertiary institutions and workplaces with a focus on collaboration and effective youth development principles. Our current funding is sourced from Central Government, initiatives with local government and the business sector, social enterprise, fundraising and charitable grants and donations.
